Diastro: The Game
The brand started as a basic card game. The purpose was to highlight a unique style of interest, which was Vaporwave during the time. I wanted to incorporate different mediums such as statues and real hand figures to pay homage to the style. Although the whole card set wasn’t made, there was enough to tell the story.
Current Inspiration
Sometime later, I wanted to explore the style even further. I was exposing myself to different artists from similar eras (Surrealism, Dadaism, De Stijl, etc)
The Goal
I wanted a better understanding of how these art eras became so successful. I've explored different artworks, learn their common history, and learning the artists’ motives. All of the research helped me form my initial problem.
How can we showcase different surrealism work from artists and designers?

and Incompleteness

Insights
• Anyone can be a creator as long as there’s meaning backing up the work
• Distorting, changing, or remixing an original piece has been a common practice for centuries
• The idea of the unknown will most likely catch an audiences eye because of how curious we are by nature
• At times, we long for a feeling we’ve never experienced, experiencing through past work, movements, and more
• Vaporwave is currently the most recent genre that’s spearheading the idea of going against traditional art and design
Redefined Problem
How has "original unoriginality" changed creativity?
Solution
Interactive exhibit experience for history's distorters.
Diastro: Museum Exhibit
Diastro is a new exhibition taking place in the Whitney Museum. Designers, artists, and other influencers of the like can witness the culture of distortion. With the use of augmented reality, the user will be able to play their role as the observer as shapes, colors, and ideas begin to mesh with each other. Creators such as Magdiel Lopez, Salvador Dali, and musicians like James Ferraro, Porter Robinson, and more make their appearances.
