Book Walker
Kadokawa was founded in 1945 during the post-war era. Their goal was to revive Japanese culture and lifestyle through publishing. Later, they’ve merged companies that directed not just publishing, but animation and cross-media. Book Walker was founded in 2005 as its official ebook store. It was successful in expanding overseas.

Problem
Book Walker has kept the same branding style for more than five years. It's currently losing market share to new competitors in the manga and light novel industry such as Crunchyroll, VIZ, and more.

Solution
The rebranding effort highlights its exclusive deals, creates a personal connection with the audience, and boosts social media presence. The brand will shift into the new digital age with a new, contemporary look that will represent the its goal, culture, and role in everyone’s life. The use of multiple colors from its old logo will help convey diversity and understanding of its origins.
